Jamaica!!!
I’m off to Jamaica tomorrow night with my boyfriend and his family :) Today is his birthday so we did one present this morning and will do the rest tonight at dinner. We have reservations at Wasabi for dinner tonight. He has been at work all day so I went for a run, played with our puppy and just chilled at the house watching Keeping up With the Kardashians marathons.
We will probably pack tomorrow, hang out some, go to dinner at The Hill, and then head out :) I am super excited for this trip!!!
Cheap cigarettes and wine.
I am ALMOST completely content with life right now. I am trying not to think about saying goodbye…but it’s inevitable. It’s not goodbye, but “see you later”. I still already miss him like crazy.
But onto better news…I’ll be seeing him in 2 days!! FREAKING 2 DAYS!!! Just yesterday it was 2 weeks. I know it is worth the wait.
I find myself daydreaming of him constantly…wondering where our next adventure will take us.
It’s an amazing feeling to be with someone I love and not have to work for it. Not have to try. He makes life easier in a way and as lucky as he will ever say he is…I find myself the lucky one :)
I’ll be updating frequently in the next few weeks…with the Jamaica trip and everything!!! I’m off to go skype now :)
Hey tumblr world!! I know it has been awhile since my last update and so much has happened since!! Where to begin?!
It all started June 18, two days after I flew into Michigan. I attended my cousin’s wedding with my dad in Good Harbor, Michigan. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful; a dream wedding. After the ceremony everyone headed to the reception where the eating and partying began. I got to talking with the bride’s brother (the groom is my cousin), and he introduced me to his friend, Wes. Wes and I got to talking and hit it off immediately! After a few drinks (and a few hours of flirting) my dad interrupted asking for a ride home. Dad had a few too many to be driving. Before I left, however, the bridal party (and Wes) invited me to the after party. So I drove dad home and went back for the party. Apparently we made a good impression on each other…as much as one can after tequila and lemon drops…but we kept talking everyday over the phone until I could see him again.
I went on working for two weeks, waitressing at Fischer’s Happy Hour Tavern. The 4th of July weekend was our next encounter. We did cherry festival, sushi, fireworks and drinks. The whole weekend was unforgettable.
About two weeks ago he decided to take me up to the Upper Peninsula to Drummond Island where he has a family cabin (we call it his stabbin cabin). We went on the jet skis, went fishing, watched movies, drank too much, boating, just an all around amazing romantic getaway with the man of my dreams :)
I just got back from our second trip up to the island and it was everything and more from the first one. I can’t belive how perfect life is turning out.
So the things to look forward to in the next month:
- Seeing Wes again in 2 weeks.
- Making a bunch of $$ because I am working non stop for the next two weeks.
- Date nights with mom before I leave.
- Beaching it with dad.

- Meeting his family in Jamaica.
- Decorating our new home (he bought a house with an extra bedroom for my art studio!!)
- Zac Brown Band concert.
- Waking up next to him and our puppy for over a month.
- ROADTRIP!! In my new jeep :)

So, let’s see…
Met a guy :) Fell in love (which I thought was completely impossible)…working my little butt off, but making over $200 a night in tips, so it’s worth it.
Off to Jamaica in less than a month.
